Shared Spirit...


The Tlingit rediscover lost traditions. A devastated culture. When the first foreigners appeared on their horizon, the Tlingit ancestors mistook them for a traditional worshiped deity. Epidemics wiped out their people. Their language was suppressed in school. Sounds so very familiar. Here the canoes prepare to come ashore after paddling into the area. They chant for permission to enter. We stand united. Not only in a common history and cultural underpinnings. But in a loving and forgiving spirit as well...
