Kamehameha...

I stopped by to talk with Kamehameha before heading into the Kohala courthouse to participate in a contested case hearing as an expert witness on the proper treatment of ancestral Native Hawaiian burials threatened by development. I was apprehensive as usual. I find this statue has a lot more spiritual mana than the one located in Honolulu which most people take photos of everyday. I think Kamehameha's 'uhane, his spirit, visits this one more than the other one. In looking at his face. This one means serious business...
