Suspicious...


I watched these two municipal workers walking and collecting quarters from the parking meters. A quick and agile woman who adeptly swapped out full containers and popped in new empty ones. And a big burly guy to push the heavy coinage hand truck and scare off any would be robbers. I think the city has a pretty good system going. But I did watch them buy lunch at the local lunch wagon and they did pay for their lunch using 42 quarters...

Dat was funny...but I don't want to impugn their good character and honesty. That was my fruitful imagination. I didn't see them buying lunch with quarters. But I did see both of them the next day at the Manoa laundromat approaching launderers and offering to exchange quarters for bills...
