Wishes...

I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. To a lesser extent, the power of wishes. They say be careful what you wish for. That is especially true. Sometimes young kids wish they had a motorized wheelchair to ride around in because it looks fun. They wish they could get one. I don't think they realize the gravity of the wish and it is overlooked by the powers that be and thankfully, never granted. Amen. But at a certain age, you become responsible for your wishes and your words become more powerful in their intended effects. If you continue to wish for a motorized wheelchair, even in jest. Something may happen to you tragically and you end up getting what you wished for. And regretting it for the rest of your life. Hawaiians believe there is power in the spoken word. That is why prayers are so powerful. As well as the words you choose to express your beliefs, wants and desires. Be careful what you wish for. Choose wisely...
