Prince Quentin Kuhio Kawananakoa at the Kamehameha Day Parade...

He presents a lei to Kamehameha through his kako'o...

Transferring the large lei carefully...

The kako'o makes her way towards Kamehameha...

Past the unsuspecting tourists who are in for a special treat during their visit to Hawai'i...

Witnessing the love our Hawaiian people have for a great warror leader who united the eight main islands. Someone left their coffee on the ground. Please pick up your trash...

Carefully and lovingly draping the lei onto the ahu of lei at the base of the statue...

Gazing up at the face of Pai'ea...

Showing respect and reverence for this kupuna as she departs...

Quentin observes the offering of his ho'okupu...

Waving to spectators and well-wishers on the side of the parade route...

A large kuleana indeed...
