Drill Team...
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Motorcycle Drill Team performed at the Kamehameha Day Parade this year. They were very cool with precision maneuvers and sirens blaring and lights flashing. My heart almost stopped at first when I saw them coming because my vehicle safety check was expired...

Tiny...
These blossoms are really tiny. This is the first time I have inspected them up close after decades of passing them by. I've obviously been missing out big time...

Sanitizing...
The Farm Fair Petting Zoo provided hand sanitizer for worrisome responsible parents to clean their hands and the hands of their children to make sure no pony, Llama, goat, cow, pig, chicken, rooster, horse or people bugs followed them home...

Lawai'a...
Kiddie pool fishing at the Farm Fair Meadowgold Exhibit...
They corralled the goldfish to make them more accessible. I remember catching fish like this when I was a child. They give you a paper net which gets weaker and weaker the longer it stays in the water. If you take too long, the fish will tear right through the net and escape...
If you are quick, but not too quick such that the water pressure breaks the wet paper, you can catch a fish...
They bag the fish for the lucky kids...
Clean water goes into the bag...
Next comes some oxygen to fill the rest of the bag so the fish will survive the trip home...
A rubber band seals the deal...
For many children, this is their first pet. And the pride and satisfaction of having caught it yourself only sweetens the deal...
Now to convince mom and dad to stop by Foodland for some Panko breadcrumbs, oil and tartar sauce...

Busy...
I was going to offer this gentleman in need some money but he was too busy writing his message on his cardboard and then the traffic light changed. Maybe next time...

Mea Hawai'i...
Beautiful poi pounders at Bishop Museum. Kaua'i style stirrup, ring and traditional knobbed. I can imagine the kupuna's hands gripping the pohaku as they pounded and mashed the kalo to feed the kino, body, and 'uhane, spirit, of their 'ohana...
