La'au Maoli...


Beautiful native hardwoods from the island of Molokai crafted by the skilled hands of a true kahuna kala'i. The kapa anvil, or kua kuku, is made from a Milo tree. Incredibly beautiful. The curved ends were traditionally lifted off of the ground by lauhala pillows or sometimes stone. The tapping sound of the hohoa or i'e kuku ho'oki could be heard echoing about the valleys and kauhale. This particular kua kuku has a profound history of love and aloha.
