The spiritually powerful island of Kaua'i. My beloved kulaiwi...the plains of my ancestors bones...my homeland. I still possess the 'eke lauhala, or lauhala woven basket containing the iwi, or bones of my beautiful loving Mother. I need to get her to Kaua'i to kanu, or bury her, alongside her father, Frederick, who drowned at Moloa'a beach when she was four years old. So much to do. So much to do...
