Exhilarating...

After work and after I picked the boys up from school, I stopped on the side of the Pali Highway to take a quick photo of a serene scene to restore my spirit. However, I had to climb up a large boulder which was wet and mossy and my muddy boots made it even more precarious. As I stood leaning over the precipice, with the cold Nu'uanu winds blowing me around. I momentarily saw myself plunge to my horrible death dashing on the rocks below and drowning as I got a little light-headed and dizzy. I took my pictures with my heart pounding. I survived. It was exciting to face death like that, even if momentarily, and survive. At times, I miss the reckless risk of my younger days but I know that I can't risk my life for a silly picture. I won't do this again. Never. I promise...to try and never do this again...or something like it...promise..to try not to...cross my heart...hope to...uhm...live...
