Celebration...

Tonight was a Beautiful Celebration of Civil Liberties and the Constitution sponsored by the Hawaii State Bar Association Civic Education Committee and the King Kamehameha Judiciary History Center at Ali'iōlani Hale. Our son, Elliott, representing Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, was one of five essay winners on the Legacy of Patsy T. Mink.

Other winners were Micah Andrade of Mililani High School, Railee Layosa of Kaua'i High School, Alexandria Tyau of Maui High School and De'Anni Wilkins of Leilehua High School. Special guest speakers were Judge Leslie A. Hayashi and Representative Della Au Belatti. Representative Marcus Oshiro came out to support Leilehua.

A special thank you to KS High School Principal Sheena Alaiasa and KS English Teacher Ryan Oishi for coming out to support Elliott and represent Kamehameha. A most Beautiful Evening indeed...
