Huikala...

I spent the day underneath the Ko'olau's for an office retreat. At one point, a beautiful Aunty from Kona was drawn outside of the building. She felt kaumaha from the kupuna who plunged over the Pali during the epic Kamehameha and Kalanikupule battle to unite Hawai'i. We both went outside and found ourselves directly underneath the fatal plunge. We both were moved to tears. Kalanikupule. Kamehameha. Nahiolea. Ka'ahumanu. Ka'iana. We both understood the continuing message for our lahui. Forgiveness. Redemption. On so many levels. We embraced and expressed our love for each other. Our kupuna embraced each other on the other side as well. We felt it. Mahalo Ke Akua.

Reversal...

Since I had to march in the Aloha Festivals Parade, it was hard to take pictures of the parade itself. So I opted to take pictures of the crowds watching the parade on the side of the road. Lol...

Aloha Festivals Parade...

Today's parade down Ala Moana Blvd and then down Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki. I had to march in the parade so it was hard taking photos and I opted for a wide angle lens which limited my options. It was hot. Long. And fun! Lol...

Moments...

One single solitary moment of pure love and joy. Each moment the first in a billion years. Each moment the last in a billion years. Sustain each moment forever by absorbing it with all of your five senses and locking it safely away in the depths of your Soul. For we may never pass this way again...

Together...

The last two Foosball players bake in the heat of the unrelenting scorching Sun. Bound together. One will not abandon the other. They await their fate. Patiently. Painfully. Humiliatingly. But together...

The footprints in the sand quickly disappear in the wash of the waves. The footprints embedded in the depths of your Heart last forever...

Secret...

In Hawai'i, it is believed to be bad luck to announce to people you are going fishing. Hawaiians believe that when asked, you never say you are going fishing. So I hang out near the beach and just follow people who look like this...
