Laulima...

Many hands working together. I spent Saturday morning helping document volunteers who came forward to work together. In the spirit of Aloha. For each other. For the 'aina. The land. At a very special sacred place of our kupuna, our ancestors. There were young and old. Kamali'i (children), 'Opio (youth), Makua (parents) and kupuna (elders) all working together to malama (take care of) a wahi pana (storied place) on O'ahu. Some young Marines from Kane'ohe Marine Corps Base also came to help out on the sacred Hawaiian sites. Such important bonds of healing and forgiveness on a small scale with huge spiritual results. And my favorite of all. Women transitioning from incarceration into reintroduction into the community. Such a wide array of people. Such a beautiful morning together...
