Ka Hali'a Aloha...

I was unable to attend the funeral for a dear friend because I had to be on Kaua'i for the Cultural Conference the same day. Mom and Dad went however. And dad caught the beautiful ceremonial spirit of ka hali'a aloha. The Loving Memories of a life tragically cut short. The little children at the funeral carried the beautiful spirit of hope amongst the immense sadness...

It was a beautiful morning in Hilo on Hawai'i Island. I felt the love all the way across the island chain on Kaua'i that morning. Thank you mother and father for representing the 'ohana. And thank you dad for allowing me to feel the spirit of that sad day through your beautiful photography. Ka Hali'a Aloha. The Loving Memory...
