Alive...

I found this large black Carpenter bee dying on the sidewalk. Iʻm not sure what happened. He was very weak. Every time I touched him, he would try to fly but could hardly move. I think he was angry at me for touching him. He probably wanted to sting me but couldnʻt. So I stayed with him and watched him expire. I think it is good to pass from Earth with someone next to you. Not alone. I hope he appreciated that. I looked in his eyes as they reflected me and the clouds and sky. When he finally passed, I think his spirit soared and stung my spirit. It kind of hurt. But not too much. I was just happy to be alive...

sometimes you can make a mix of sugar water and place a little puddle in front, and the hydration and energy can revive them. Sounds like this one was beyond that, tho...

Iʻll have to remember that one...I was more worried the bee would revive as I stooped down to take the photo and sting my face... : 0
