Ancient...

In ʻEwa, I came across a small coral boulder made up of the ancient reef which makes up most of the ʻEwa plain on Oʻahu. There were some shells stuck in the coral. Looks like some fell out. This one was still stuck in the rock. I think it is about 120,000 years old. The same age as the reef. I wonder what happened to the little sluggy snail creature that used to be in the shell. I wonder if he has been crawling around in spirit form for the last 120,000 years...
