Hōʻailona...

I stopped by Kamehameha's Kūnuiākea Stadium this afternoon to talk to the track coach about Elliott's participation on the team. When we first arrived, Elliott, Koa and I sat on the steps watching the practice for about five minutes, then I stood up and took a wide angle photo. We then went down, spoke with the coach, and actually got into heavy conversation, among other things, about Ali'i burials and the Kamehameha mo'oku'auhau, and I lit up with chicken skin in the presence of spirit. The boys and I left after about twenty-minutes of conversation. When I arrived home tonight, I loaded the photo. There in the middle...is Kūnuiākea. Life doesn't get more awesome or more humbling than that...Mahalo Ke Akua...
