I literally had to stop in the middle of a four-lane road to capture this Hōʻailona of a kupuna pointing to the Heavens. My cell-phone camera wasn't the best and doesn't do the details of the face justice, such as the eyes, but I'm just glad there weren't any cars behind me which allowed me to stop. My son Elliott didn't know why I was stopping in the middle of the road but after he saw the photo, he understood perfectly...
