Choices...


In the old days, a Chief, like Kamehameha, could send two stones, a black stone and a white stone, wrapped in kapa cloth, to another Chief, like Keawemauhili. If you chose to send the black one back, that meant, you bring your god, I will bring my god, and we will meet on the battlefield and fight to the death. If you sent a white stone back, it meant, let us live in Peace, as hoa Aloha, as friends, and negotiate any division of lands and resources. Some people only give you black stones in life. But you always have the choice...to send a white one back. Always...
