Aloha...

On a recent trip to Maui, I drove out to an area that I had never been before. It was rugged terrain with lots of ʻaʻā lava. When I exited my car, my Heart started pounding excitedly. I spotted this Beautiful friend about fifteen feet in front of my car, a stark grey pohaku amidst the red and brown stones. I thought he may have been a pōhaku kupua Spirit, and positioned himself there knowing that I would park right at that spot. Then I thought, maybe someone found him, and because of the pronounced face on him, placed him there to greet visitors. Either way...it was profoundly Beautiful...
