Presence...
Today is the Birthday of Lydia Liliʻu Loloku Walania Wewehi Kamakaʻeha. Our Beloved Queen Lili'uokalani...
I thought the most important and meaningful thing that I could share on the celebrated day of her Birth, was encouragement.
For all those who ever stood before her main statue. Or stood quietly and somberly reflecting in the room of her imprisonment at 'Iolani Palace as tears welled-up. Or marched in quiet dignified remembrance in Honor of Her. Or quietly descended the hallowed steps at Mauna 'Ala which holds her remains. Her iwi. Her sacred bones.
For every song sung. For every Prayer uttered. For every chant which resonated up and into the Heavens. For every hula performed in her Honor, from keiki, 'ōpi'o, mākua and kūpuna. For every sorrowful expression of the Heart in soft conversations under a cascade of tears.
She hears. She sees. She knows. She is overcome with humility, gratitude and tears of pure Joy. To be simply remembered. To be simply Loved...
From the first time a gifted friend was able to communicate with the Spirit of a deceased Chiefess, through her iwi, her bones, under my protection and care in my work office over ten years ago, who shared her identity and tragic story, my Life has Forever Changed.
I have been humbly Blessed to be with her, and quite a few other gifted friends who joined the same collective Journey, who have humbly shared their gifts of 'ike pāpā lua (second-sight), seeing akakū (standing visions), hearing 'ūlāleo (spirit voices) and other ways of interacting with the Spirit World, with extreme respect, humility and discernment. To help thin the Veil. To help those here and there Heal. They have helped save my own Life as well and no words can express my humble gratitude.
The Queen has come through quite often over the years, to offer guidance and encouragement. To express her humble gratitude as well as her everlasting Hope. She remains in our World until her work is finished and she can Ascend Higher to another Realm and yet another Journey.
She even continues to help those still stuck her, between Worlds, in the Afterlife, helping them Ascend when ready. Always a servant leader for her People. Even in Death.
Her Love and Aloha is palpable. And tears flow always as she delivers her messages through the haka, the mediums, who humbly and graciously share their Gifts. Without fanfare, accolades or publicity. Always for the Greater Good. Under the Power of the Creator.
Simply Believe. As I most assuredly do. Listen with your Heart for her soft whispering, yet strong, words.
Aloha Kekahi i Kekahi...
Love One Another...
'Onipa'a...
Steadfastly...
