Barbershop Quartets are alive and well in Hawai'i. This one performed at the Honolulu Symphony event at the Waikiki Shell. Fantastic fun-filled harmonies...

This conch shell is purported to be the legendary magical thunderous Kihapu shell which was guarded at Hokuwelowelo Heiau in Waipi'o Valley on Hawai'i Island until the dog Puapualenalena absconded with it. It could be blown during times of war and battles and thunder for miles. I have my own Kihapu. And I will be unleashing her spirit today. And she does shake the ground. And rumble your na'au. And it is a spiritual war going on. So she summons the legions of ancestors in force. Not through sheer power and will. But through humility, love and Aloha for all...
She Shared Tonight... That Under Her Moonlight... For Every Stolen Passionate Kiss... There was a Lonely Untimely Death... For Every Awakening Dream of Peace... There were Unspeakable Atrocities in War... For every Selfless Compassionate Act... There were Heartless Cruel deeds... Yet Over the Centuries... The Good far Outweighed the Evil... That Kindness Healed the Wounds of Cruelty... And the Blood Sacrificed through Love... Far Exceeded the Blood Shed through Hate... Such is the Balance of Humanity... Such is this Incredibly Beautiful Life... For Love... Shall Always Prevail... Always...
