This conch shell is purported to be the legendary magical thunderous Kihapu shell which was guarded at Hokuwelowelo Heiau in Waipi'o Valley on Hawai'i Island until the dog Puapualenalena absconded with it. But from what some of the Facebook people said, Manoa sucked royal, all the houses were closed up and dark. People were pretty tight and unfriendly, hiding. Most of the FB people bailed on Manoa and such places and instead went to the Hawaiian areas -- Papakolea was supposed to be one big rockin' block party! Try it next year...of course they will still think the ipu would be a sign of a kumu hula!
