Treasured...

At the Bishop Museum, a young visitor eyes a beautiful little necklace made out of a beautiful Hawaiian shell. With a little allowance advance from Mom, the necklace will soon be hers...

It is so beautiful...

I hope it fits over my head...

Now to get my hair out of the way...

It looks even more special when I am wearing it...

Thank you Native Hawaiian artisan. You made my first trip to Hawai'i so beautiful, exciting and memorable by telling me the story behind the necklace and how you put all your love and Aloha into making it. Now I have a treasure which I will never forget as I carry the love and Aloha with me forever...
