Nuts...

In Hawai'i, Macadamia nuts are very popular but their shells are super hard. So we dump them on the road...

You have to spread them out evenly so they roast in the hot Hawaiian Sun. And then cars drive over them and break them open very easily...

Then you bring along a bag and help yourself to fresh roasted crushed macadamia nuts...

It is a popular pastime in Hawai'i. We make sure Tour Buses assist because of their great crushing power...

It can be a little dangerous venturing out in the road to grab your crushed nuts...

But the reward is oh so delicious...

Even County workers assist in effectuating the operation and logistics...

You need to bring your own bags and you can make friends right on the side of the road and exchange your favorite Macadamia nut recipes...

Some cars slam on their brakes and make Macadamia Nut Butter...

The best nuts are mixed with a little gravel and asphalt...

There is always enough for all the residents of the island...

If you forget your bag, you can use your hat...

This is one of the most beautiful scenic sights in all of the islands...
