Conversations...





I went back to see Pai'ea tonight at midnight. It was breezy but calm. There was some activity across the street as people prepared for tomorrow's festival at 'Iolani Palace after the Kamehameha Day Parade makes its way from Waikiki to the statue and palace tomorrow. It was a very different feel at night as opposed to twelve hours earlier in the mid-day Sun with throngs of spectators. In fact, it was so quiet, you could hear the rustle of the lei. And your own breathing. And your own heartbeat. And the bronze statue which should be icy cold at night, well, it was warm...
