Pōhaku...


In the old days, when my Hawaiian ancestors would venture into the uplands, the Wao Akua, where the akua, or gods dwell, as well as other kupua and mystical beings, they would sometimes carry a pōhaku in their hand for protection. A little piece of the ʻāina for comfort....
