Mea 'Ai Kahiko...

I am trying to incorporate more traditional Hawaiian foods into my diet to be healthier. I like "Tako" or octopus. He'e in Hawaiian. This one happens to be Madako Tako from Japan. Boiled and cleaned already. Ready to cut up and eat slices...

I don't think my kupuna cooked their aku in olive oil with garlic powder. I'm working on trying to be a little more traditional. Like when I fry up my fish, I wear a traditional malo in the kitchen with the window shades pulled down...
