Hōʻailona...

In 2009, we participated in a kūkulu kumuhana of pooling prayers, 'ike, and Spirit by sounding the pahu drums along with others across the islands and around the World to bring attention to the plight of Hāwea Heiau. We chose 'Ualaka'a up on Tantalus for our location. It wasn't long before the Hōʻailona of a rainbow appeared and the massive kupuna, an ali'i, with full beard and crested mahiole haka helmet formed in the clouds above Mānoa Valley...
