No Help...

Elliott saw a bird in our underground parking garage up on the pipes. I explained to him that the bird probably got disoriented and inadvertently flew down into the garage by accident. Now he was stuck and couldn't find a way back up to the surface since you either have to fly the length of the parking ramp several times, go up the stairwell, or take the elevator. Either proposition seemed highly unlikely. He wanted to help. I wanted to help too. But I explained to him that any attempt by us to lead, push or scare the bird to safety would most likely cause more harm than good since he was already in an agitated fearful state. I'm sure the flash of the camera didn't do anything to calm his little overactive beating heart. I let Elliott know that the bird is in Ke Akua's hands now and all we can do is send our good thoughts for escape. If it is meant to be. It will happen. Sometimes we need to know when to help. And when to step back and put our faith in Ke Akua. Especially when our good intentions to intervene and help may do far more harm than good. That is true for many things in life...
