Commonality...


So they both have origins in the British Union Jack. The colors are very similiar as is the fabric. Some of the style too. The underlying history and character, quite different however. In fact, two very different 'ano. Where the two intersect, in history, produces a tremendous amount of 'eha and kaumaha. Everyday, these two flap around in the cool breezes of my ancestors. Warmed by the Hawaiian sun under the watchful eye of Ke Akua. Yes the U.S. flag flies higher and dominates over the Hawaiian one. But the Hawaiian flag remains steadfast as the humble foundation and underpinning to push the American flag upwards and closer to God...
