Elliott came down with a high fever last night. He must have caught some kind of bug at school. He crawled into bed with me burning up. I held him most of the night. I usually don't give the boys a fever reducer as long as they act normal, just listless. The high body temperature is nature's way of killing the bugs that created the sickness. His fever broke this morning. I didn't get much sleep as I kept stroking his hair to comfort him and kept checking on his temperature throughout the night as he tossed and turned. He was really hot. You always know everything is going to be okay with 99.99 percent of your being. But it is amazing when you love someone so intensely. What the .o1 percent uncertainty can do to your mind and heart...
