Piranhas...











There have been a couple of piranhas caught in the wild in Hawai'i. Thought to be illegal pets dumped from someone's aquarium, there has been no established breeding population discovered yet. My boys pretend these voracious tilapia are piranhas. They feed them old sourdough bread. Next time, we will cut them out into the shapes of people with a gingerbread cookie cutter and put them in a newspaper boat and float the doomed seafarers across the river Styx. I try to teach them that when resources are scarce. Especially food. Some humans act like tilapia. And that is truly sad...
