Apple Heads...

So Halloween is coming up. My boys and I took three apples, peeled them, and each carved a face into our respective edible canvas. We then soaked them in lemon juice and hung them up to dry. I only did this once before in grade school. They slowly turn brown and shrivel up as they dry. Then they turn into little old shrunken heads. I hope it works like I remember since my boys put a lot of hope, excitement and energy into their macabre carvings. I try my best not to let them down. Even in making simple silly little scary dried up apple heads...
